Biographical Info
History
Already a well-trained and accomplished Doctor in her own right, Alyssa first joined the Colonial Fleet after the death of her fiance, Sgt. Michael Pike during anti-terrorism operations on Sagitarron. After making full Lt., she was due to be transferred to the refitted Battlestar Pegasus in orbit around Scorpia after a few days shore-leave when the Cylon attack threw all plans out the window.
After months serving with the Resistance, she finally found herself aboard the CEC Kharon as one of its attending physicians and doctors.
Family
Though Alyssa herself never took part, the Odessyeons have a long history of crime on Aquaria, and anyone familiar with Aquarian politics are likely to have heard the name, though whether they are seen as hardened criminals or local heroes depends on the source. Though hopeful that some may have survived, Alyssa has resigned herself to the fact that they were probably all killed, and hopes to do her part to make amends for their history.
Faith
Raised by her parents to be a woman of faith, Alyssa regularly prays to the Lords of Kobol, praying especially to Athena, Poseidon, and Aphrodite.
Education
A very bright student, Alyssa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Triton University on Aquaria and was in the top 10% of her class in medical school, and has also graduated from the Colonial Fleet's OCS with good marks.
Reputation (or Mil. Service)
Despite her education and rising star in Fleet Medicine, Alyssa was a complete unknown upon arriving on Scorpia, and the need to evade Cylons and Raiders has kept her from making friends and influencing people. Her performance on the ground, however, left her with a servicable reputation among the Kharon crew, and her past connections with Major Pike also helped greatly.
Distinguishing Features
Tall, with striking red hair and piercing green eyes, Alyssa makes quite the visual impression with people she meets, she rarely wears her uniform, preferring her scrubs.
Skills
With a better than usual knowledge of human anatomy and what ails it, if you need medical assistance, Alyssa is the person to seek out. Besides that, she knows a thing or two about surviving when she has to and can shoot a gun if forced, but is much more comfortable in the lab than in the battlefield.
